Staff Accountant

​

Salary  - $65-75K + excellent benefits

This role  is 100% onsite and has excellent work life balance. It is corporate accouting dnd has reports to an Accounting Manager who will mentor the Staff Accounant and there is room for promotion over time and based on growth and  merit. 

​

Well established company in West/NW Houston is seeking an Accountant for its growing team. The role is working onsite in the office daily and may also log in at home to complete a task so every day in the office is manageable and can work around heavy traffic hours.

There will be training and mentoring for this role so we are seeking a degreed but less experienced staff level (1-2 total years in Accounting field) candidate who wants to learn and grow in corporate accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries; ensures business transactions are booked properly in the GL

  • Perform balance sheet and bank account reconciliations

  • Work closely with Accounting team to assist with the month-end close procedures

  • Reconcile and update fixed assets schedules, as required

  • Assist with the annual audit process including answering and responding to audit requests

  • Review and process AP and AR transactions

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of corporate accounting experience (This role is a very "staff level" but degreed role and we are seeking someone with less than two years, total, in Accounting preferably)

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting is required

  • Must be in Houston with a convenient commute to West/NW Houston, fully onsite and excellent work life balance, early schedule is available and most on the team are working 7 am to 4 pm hours, daily except month end close, which is one day very early in the office and out at 4 pm

Senior Accountant

$75-95K salary + excellent benefits

A successful privately held Houston based company is seeking a Senior Accountant for its growing corporate accounting team.

 

The role will be responsible for corporate accounting under the guidance of the Accounting Manager and the Corporate Controller. 

​

Dress is Jeans/Casual and there is no overtime except on the first day of the month end close only. 

​

THIS ROLE IS 100% ONSITE AT THE COMPANY HQ IN NW HOUSTON

We are looking for an individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries, financial statements and reports for corporate and subsidiary divisions.

  • Perform month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations of accounts.

  • Analyze financial and accounting data to identify discrepancies and errors.

  • Provide assistance with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

  • Maintain fixed assets accounting and depreciation schedules.

  • Assist with the yearly audit and fulfill audit requests from the external auditors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.

  • 4-10+ years of experience in corporate accounting.

  • Must have strong MS Excel skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and professional written and verbal communication skills.

Senior Accountant

Salary - $90 - 105K plus 15% bonus

Must have a start in public Audit and ability to work onsite in far West Houston for the most part. There will be flexibility for a hybrid schedule with 4 days in office and 1 day from home after being fully integrated and trained with the Corporate Accounting team.

 

The role includes routine accounting, intercompany and financial reporting. The company is a "performers environment" and has very good work life balance outside the month-end and quarter-end closes.
