Senior Accountant

​

Remote with 25% travel to Colorado - 1 week per month

Salaried role with excellent benefits.

Seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a private equity owned holding company in Colorado. This role can be fully remote except for travel monthly to headquarters to work in the offices there with the Controller in person. 

 

Duties:

  • Perform corporate accounting functions - GL -  posting corporate payables transactions, funding for payroll, prepaids/roll-forwards, fixed assets and lease accounting entries. 

  • Analyze corporate payroll, operating expenses and employee travel expenses. 

  • Communicate with operating companies regarding transactions, cash / AR transactions, fixed assets, etc.

  • Post intercompany transactions

  • Assist with debt reporting

  • Perform period closes and adhere to checklists and timelines for month-end close, quarter-end and year-end activities. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree (4 year university/college degree) in Accounting

  • 2-5 years in a corporate accounting role

  • Must have excellent systems and software knowledge because the company is in acquisition mode and new entities must be onboarded and integrated successfully

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Strong analysis and problem solving skills

  • Proven career track record in Accounting with timely career progression to Senior Accountant

  • Ability to travel 25%, 1 week a month​

Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team.

Duties:

  • Prepare and send invoices to clients, following up on outstanding payments as necessary.

  • Process incoming customer payments accurately and timely

  • Work on collections to resolve discrepancies, manage overdue accounts and payment plans.

  • Utilize accounting software data entry and financial tracking.

  • Assist with month end close procedures.

  • Maintain organized documentation for audits and internal controls related to accounts receivable processes.

Skills:

  • Must have a high school diploma, prefer some college coursework or equivalent experience.

  • Must have experience in Accounts Receivable in a corporate setting.

  • Experience with billing, coding invoices for complex high dollar transactions.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.

  • Experience using various customer portals to send invoices per customer guidelines and methods.

  • Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.

  • Strong analytical skills for account analysis and financial reporting.

  • Effective communication and negotiation skills for managing collections and customer interactions.

  • Strong phone etiquette for communication with clients regarding their accounts.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, CPA preferred or parts passed and currently sitting

2+ to 5 years of experience in public accounting external audit
