Accounts Payable Cooridinator

Compensation: $28/hr. (non-exempt so OT eligible) + generous PTO + full benefits package

West Houston / Energy Corridor - 100% onsite role (not a hybrid)

Highly successful privately held services company is seeking an AP Specialist for its growing Accounts Payable Team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing weekly payables by entering invoices and scheduling payments to vendors by ACH/Check

  • Responsible for paying vendors accurately and on time according to terms

  • Reconciliation of vendor statements

  • Ensure that vendors are billing Lightwave properly according to purchase terms

  • Ensure all invoices are approved in accordance with company policy

  • Identify opportunities for streamlining and improvements 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3 plus years of experience in Accounts Payable experience is a must

  • Moderate/Advanced skills in Excel

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, co-workers, and vendors

  • Close attention to detail and ability to independently make good sound decisions based on information given.

  • Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure while meeting established deadlines

  • Professional, cooperative and positive attitude

  • Superior customer service skills
