 Responsibilities include:

  • This role functions in partnership with accounting / finance, sales, operations, and supply chain teams in the analysis of operating activities and results.

  • Perform management reporting on variances, preparing and reviewing related management reporting.

  • Perform routine and complex review of budgeting and forecasting.

  • Perform financial modeling and other analysis related to pricing, cost, profitability.

Required - Education, Skills and Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university. MBA/CPA preferred.

  • 4-8 years of experience in a corporate FP&A/financial analysis role or a start in public accounting external audit or industry accounting.

  • Proven experience in a corporate role with responsibilities focusing on financial analysis, budgeting & forecasting, process improvement and compliance.

  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and driven.

  • Excellent communication skills and adept at learning accounting systems and software with proficient expertise in MS Excel to include formulas, lookups and pivot tables.

  • ERP experience in a corporate setting, Experience with Hyperion or OneStream.

COST ACCOUNTANT

Salary range - $95K - $110K  - Hybrid schedule 2 days a week in the office and 3 days a week work-from-home.

Manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join its Accounting team and perform the full Cost and Inventory functions of the company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost accounting and inventory in a manufacturing company.

Duties

  • Prepare and analyze detailed financial reports, including cost analysis.

  • Perform heavy account reconciliations and analysis.

  • Develop, maintain and analyze standard costing model to include materials, labor and overhead cost calculations.

  • High volume complex manufacturing related cost accounting activities to include COGS calculations, purchase price variance analysis and inventory accounting.

  • Utilize ERP system, heavy Excel and other software.

  • Identify opportunities for gaining efficiency and recommending improvements to processes and procedures as the relate to cost accounting functions.

Skills

  • Must have bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.

  • 4 years experience in cost accounting with a solid understanding of cost accounting concepts and activities in a manufacturing setting, specifically.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Provide financial analysis and modeling by creating spreadsheets to forecast future financial performance based on historical and projected data. 

  • Prepare dashboards and KPI's, board materials, etc.

  • Help drive cash visibility and working capital insights

Operational Support

  • Support operations by ensuring effective inventory tracking.

Process Improvement & Systems Implementation

  • Analyze business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend or implement changes.

  • Lead the implementation of new systems and software to enhance efficiency.

  • Streamline existing processes and procedures for optimal performance.

 Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, prefer some experience in public accounting/audit

  • Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling (creating a spreadsheet to forecast a company's future financial performance based on historical and projected data)

  • Proven ability to prepare useful, well-presented workpapers and maintain robust data retention systems

  • Experience with process improvement and systems implementation (ERP or financial software)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively across departments

  • High level of initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving ability​
